CCT Forum 2026 & 20th Anniversary Celebration
"Giving Thanks, Renewing Hope: 20 Years of CCT and 250 Years of the United States"
On October 6-9, 2026, leaders from across the 34 communions and organizations of Christian Churches Together will gather in Birmingham, AL for faith-sharing, receptive listening, and prayerful discernment—seeking how we are called to bear a more credible, unified witness to Christ today.
Birmingham is not incidental. It is a place where Christian faith was tested—and where courageous witness helped advance human dignity. It is also part of CCT’s own story. Fifteen years ago, leaders gathered at 16th Street Baptist Church to read Dr. King’s “Letter from a Birmingham Jail,” an encounter that helped shape CCT’s commitment to act when human dignity is threatened. Returning to Birmingham—walking through Kelly Ingram Park, praying together, and listening for the Spirit—will invite both honest remembrance and renewed hope.
As we mark twenty years, we give thanks for what God has formed among us—and we look ahead with urgency and trust, continuing to love across difference, learn across traditions, and lead together in faithful witness to Christ’s reconciling love.
